i haven't posted for awhile! i feel mean. haha. stupid LIFE. work was crazy this week - a lot of people are going on vacation, without even the excuse of it being freezing here. it doesn't get cold in texas, and yet people are going to more conventionally sunny places like florida, which leaves me stuck at starbucks with my cranky boss. SIGH. and suddenly everyone wants drinks! it makes me laugh, because i think of alma in brokeback mountain - "texans don't drink coffee?" WELL, APPARENTLY WE DO, ALMA!!! I'M JUST AS SURPRISED AS YOU ARE!

oh god, i caved in! i have a plus account. oh man, oh man. the ads are already killing me. i'm gonna have to pull out the visa soon. 

the 15 icon thing is nice. i haven't even filled all my spaces. i like my icons now. xD i changed my default - same text as before, but different font and it looks more pro. i think i'm copying the style of pretty much everyone out there. text icons are surprisingly difficult to make pretty!

my rpf fic is almost finished. i'm self-betaing now. eeee.

this is pretty depressing. another entry, a mere two hours later? sigh, sigh. i've become rather addicted i'm afraid. 

so addicted that i've hunted the customize section all day. sniffed in places i probably should've avoided. it's pretty intimidating. all of the upgrade buttons were kind of scary. like, they were popping out at me. ADVANCE YOUR LJ ACCOUNT STATUS, they (figuratively) screamed. i'm actually considering it, though. not a paid account, but maybe a plus. the 6 avatar thing is not flyin'. must change this. 

anyway, i'm kind of excited to be posting. i'm finishing up on a fic, and i'm really pleased about it. it's the first of its kind, i think. i'm just really damn excited to share it, if anyone'll read it. i'm surprised people haven't wrote this pairing before because it's - it's the hottest thing in a long time. it's also a real person ship which might explain things. yes, yes that would. i ain't no fluffy texan, immune to the way the world fandom works! i get that this squicks people out. what's great about being a texan is that i'm plenty accustomed to squicky things (how many times can you watch a dog hump the table leg, huh? and in the HEAT, too). this probably doesn't only happen in texas, but i enjoy poking fun at my texan status, if only because i take pride in it so damn much. twisted? you bet.

i'll be posting that fic later this week, that i can promise. and maybe i'll meet some people in the process! unfortunately the story does not include humping but i hope it'll be loved regardless. it's full of pretty people. pretty boys, in fact.  TWO OF THEM.

i was really annoyed by the "welcome to lj" message that i guess comes with every new journal. my first lj mission? to eliminate it entirely from my lj system. yes, i know nobody else could see it, i'm not that new! i understand the privatized term. but really? that's creepy. the little eye symbol and everything, and the message saying by the way, only you can see this? thank-you, livejournal, for welcoming me in such a crazy fashion. i think i'm going to like it here. :D

i don't think anyone is reading this. that's good, because this is just a space filler. i half hope that no one ever reads my lj, because this is really embarrassing. o_O but then again, some online friends would be nice. i hear it's quite the trend or something.
